Oversee field operations, calling center, supervisors and interviewers (30-50 employees). General and project specific training of interviewers and supervisors. Overall project management. Programming telephone surveys into CI3 (specific programming language) and CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing). Survey construction and design including telephone, mail and electronic surveys. Database construction and maintenance (Filemaker/Excel). Construction of data files and analysis of data (Filemaker, SPSS). Composition and editing of final reports. Client relations and management. 6/05-8/05 INTERNSHIP (COMPLETION OF MASTERS DEGREE) Ecological Restoration Institute (ERI), Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, Arizona. Chair of the Greater Flagstaff Forest Partnership Monitoring and Research Team. Work with a collaborative group to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of forest restoration and fuel reduction treatments in an 180,000-acre designated land area that surrounds the City of Flagstaff. In addition, assisted with project set up, design and data collection for an evaluation study of the Fort Valley Ecosystem Restoration Project: Evaluating Adaptive Management - A Case Study. This research project focused on evaluating the implementation and effectiveness of ecological, social and economic monitoring efforts for the Fort Valley Ecosystem Restoration Project.
5/88-Present OWNER/MANAGER, WHOLESALE IMPORTING/EXPORTING BUSINESS Black Star Trading Company, Flagstaff, Arizona. Initiated and established international wholesale trade business (gemstones and related items). Developed a strategic marketing plan that has established the company as a viable resource in the trade.

6/06-Present CHAIR Greater Flagstaff Forests Partnership (GFFP) Project Monitoring Team, Flagstaff, Arizona. Combine efforts of the merged GFFP Project Team and the GFFP Monitoring and Research Team. Coordinate a collaborative group to finalize project planning; comprehensively and collaboratively monitor implementation and effectiveness of specific GFFP projects; work collaboratively with land managers, through an adaptive management process, to improve land management for the greatest overall ecological benefit within the GFFP project areas.
6/04-5/06 CHAIR Greater Flagstaff Forests Partnership Monitoring and Research Team, Flagstaff, Arizona. Coordinate a collaborative group to comprehensively monitor ecological, social, economic and institutional health of past and current forest restoration and fuel reduction treatments occurring within the GFFP boundary.
12/05-Present DIRECTOR ACTION TEAM – ADAPTIVE MANAGEMENT AND MONITORING Greater Flagstaff Forests Partnership (GFFP), Flagstaff, Arizona. Establish a plan for ongoing project monitoring, including minimum monitoring standards and an annual budget. Identify priority objectives for monitoring GFFP projects. Oversee completion of effectiveness-monitoring projects within the GFFP area. Collection, synthesis, and distribution of lessons learned from current and ongoing GFFP research and monitoring projects. Documentation of how lessons learned from prior research, monitoring and evaluations have been incorporated as an adaptive management process into project design for ongoing and upcoming GFFP projects. Formulate and establish a landscape scale monitoring framework.
